A confirmation page is a page that site visitors see after a successful purchase, download, or subscription.  Think of it as a page that appears after a conversion has happened. It contains the conversion details and provides users with the next steps.

The goal of a confirmation page is to keep the momentum going after a conversion has occured and also to eliminate panic by assuring them that the transaction is successful.

A confirmation page can also be used to request information from users or persuade them to take a desired action, such as making a celebratory post on social media or even buying more products.
