In fact, each week, I have been learning something new.<\/li>\r\n<li>Hectic, because you have to juggle different tasks at the same time.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Now that I know what&#8217;s expected of me at FigPii. I am preparing myself for the next quarter.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>However, shall we rewind a bit to everything that happened this quarter and what I have learned from it?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"My_OKRs_Key_Objectives_KPIs\"><\/span>My OKRs, Key Objectives &amp; KPIs<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>For this quarter, I had two OKRs with four key objectives under them.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>My OKRs were:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Increase the email list subscribers.<\/li>\r\n<li>Increase the number of monthly visitors to the website.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As for the key objectives:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Under the first OKR:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Send FigPii newsletter every Monday; 12 sends per quarter.<\/li>\r\n<li>Publish 12 self-journey blog posts.<\/li>\r\n<li>Post 12 case studies on LinkedIn.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>And, under the second OKR:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Publish one BoFu blog per week; four per month; 12 per quarter.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Also, I had one KPI:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Build my personal brand on LinkedIn, and increase my number of followers.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Now, let&#8217;s delve into my tasks in detail and the lessons that I have learned from them:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"FigPii_Newsletter\"><\/span>FigPii Newsletter<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"681\" class=\"wp-image-1030\" src=\"https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-miguel-a\u0301-padrin\u0303a\u0301n-1591062-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-miguel-a\u0301-padrin\u0303a\u0301n-1591062-1024x681.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-miguel-a\u0301-padrin\u0303a\u0301n-1591062-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-miguel-a\u0301-padrin\u0303a\u0301n-1591062-270x180.jpg 270w, https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-miguel-a\u0301-padrin\u0303a\u0301n-1591062-370x245.jpg 370w, https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-miguel-a\u0301-padrin\u0303a\u0301n-1591062.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The FigPii newsletter revolves around three main topics: CRO, Marketing, and e-Commerce websites.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>I have learned a lot about email marketing in general and our email subscribers, specifically from sending the newsletter.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Here are three things I have learned that helped me increase our newsletter open rate by 7%:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>Know your audience<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>By doing AB testing and checking our reports, I realized that over 65% of our subscribers are males working in marketing and advertising.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Their ages range from 25 years old and up.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This information will give me more insight into who I am talking to, what to focus on more, and what to exclude.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>2. <strong>Build your email based on your numbers<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Based on our reports, I have figured out that:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Our average open rate is 41%.<\/li>\r\n<li>Our average click rate is 3.2%.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>That gave my ideas:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>I should work more on the subject line and preview text for the open rate. Start testing more with them till the rate increases.<\/li>\r\n<li>For the click rate, I should work on increasing the number of links within my email.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>However, I should focus on inserting links that will benefit me. Links that will navigate our subscribers to areas on our website that I want to have more attention.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>3. <strong>Know your peak hours<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>What I didn&#8217;t notice when I first started sending the newsletter is checking when people notice it the most.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Based on the reports, these hours lie between 9, and 11 am Eastern time.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>So, maybe I will send the newsletter earlier than the usual time; 9 am instead of 10.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This way, it will get enough exposure, and people will have more time to notice it.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Case_Studies\"><\/span>Case Studies<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"678\" class=\"wp-image-1031\" src=\"https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-lukas-590020-1024x678.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-lukas-590020-1024x678.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-lukas-590020-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-lukas-590020-270x180.jpg 270w, https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-lukas-590020-370x245.jpg 370w, https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-lukas-590020.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As most of you know, I have started working on transforming some of the successful AB tests that we have worked on for clients into case studies to publish on FigPii&#8217;s LinkedIn account and my personal account.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The case studies consisted of:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>A copy,<\/li>\r\n<li>And a design.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>They contained:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>A bit of a background about the website we have worked on,<\/li>\r\n<li>What was the AB test about,<\/li>\r\n<li>Why did we launch it,<\/li>\r\n<li>The changes applied,<\/li>\r\n<li>And the lessons you can take away from them.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The case studies have been more than beneficial!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>I have learned a lot about AB testing, conversion rate optimization, and ecommerce websites.<\/li>\r\n<li>The lessons to take away from them are helpful for anyone who works in anything related to CRO, ecommerce, UX, etc.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>What I have learned, personally, so far:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Don&#8217;t assume that people will get in between the lines. Clever headlines might sound good, but go for clarity and focus on what is unique about your business.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>What works for mobile users doesn&#8217;t necessarily work for desktop ones.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>It is better to reduce the number of steps that take visitors to do a specific action.<\/li>\r\n<li>If the goal in an ecommerce website is to increase the average order value, then use design and copy to nudge visitors to the target AOV.\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>When visitors are most likely to shop for more than one product, keeping them in the shopping experience makes sense. Using a mini-cart helps keep visitors in the purchase funnel&#8217;s shopping\/looking around phase.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"BoFu_Self-Journey_Blogs\"><\/span>BoFu &amp; Self-Journey Blogs<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"690\" class=\"wp-image-1032\" src=\"https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-picography-4458-1024x690.jpg\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-picography-4458-1024x690.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-picography-4458-300x202.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.figpii.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/pexels-picography-4458.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Creating content will always teach you something.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>I have always considered it a work in progress, non-stop.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Bottom of funnel content teaches you how to highlight your products or services better.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>You will learn how to:\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Enrich your blog,\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>Increase your traffic,\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>And, at the same time, promote your business.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As for the self-journey blogs, honestly, they have been my favorite.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Writing about your self-development, your work, the lessons you learn, etc.\u2026 will:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Connect you to your audience.<\/li>\r\n<li>Create an identity for your organization and you as being part of it.<\/li>\r\n<li>Create brand awareness about your company, what it does, and how much the people inside work to excel.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Wrapping_Things_Up\"><\/span>Wrapping Things Up<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>My journey at FigPii so far has been rich and genuinely insightful.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>I can rate my learning curve at 7\/10.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>And, next quarter promises to be even more exciting!
